Learning from Human Rights Defenders
How do human rights defenders protect each other when they are threatened? How do their protection practices intersect with those of regional and international actors such as NGOs, intergovernmental bodies, and sympathetic states? In this public talk, Claudia Samayoa (Coordinator, UDEFEGUA, Guatemala) and Ruki Fernando (Advisor, INFORM, Sri Lanka) share their experiences as defenders at risk as well as in protecting other defenders at risk.
