Art Liberation Week: Community Showcase

This event is open to all people of any ethnicity. The showcase is not family friendly as there may be some artwork that isn’t appropriate for children. It is up to your discretion as the parent.
Join us for our community showcase: the final event in Art Liberation Week. We’ll be reflecting on the week, enjoying the art work and building connections with each other for future work!
The showcase is a drop-in, please feel free to pop in and out as you please. Thank you!
Art Liberation Week
Art Liberation Week aims to decolonise art and creative practice. In practice this means that whatever your experience, you can create art. We strongly encourage you to try as many of the workshops as you can, push yourself out of your comfort zone and our wonderful facilitators will guide and care for you during this process.
The week offers an opportunity for people of colour in York to connect and build a supportive community; a space where we can freely express ourselves and experience joy.

For the Week’s events we are operating on a sliding scale. Please use the Green Bottle Sliding Scale Analogy to determine which price option works for you.
Low Price: Free
Middle Price: £2.50
General Price: £5
