Bradford Anti-Poverty Events Group Presents ‘Safer Internet Day’ Webinar

The Bradford Anti-Poverty Events Group, led by Bradford District Credit Union, is inviting community professionals and practitioners who work with vulnerable people to our 5th annual ‘Safer Internet Day’ webinar. The event, featuring a great line up of speakers, will explore how digital inclusion is changing in the face of a world-wide pandemic, and its relationship to poverty and financial inclusion.
Hosted by BBC presenter Liz Barclay and introduced by the Lord Mayor of Bradford, topics cover the rise of Fake News, personal Cyber-Security as well as case studies on the innovative community digital currency, Citizen Coin Bradford, and Digital and Health programmes across Bradford and Kirklees. The event organised by the Bradford Anti-Poverty Events Group, that comprises eight organisations including: Bradford District Credit Union, CNET, Artworks Creative Communities, People CAN, Bradford Council, Barnardo’s, Stronger Families and Carers’ Resource, follows the Group’s recent international ‘Buy Nowt’ alternative Black Friday webinar event.
This event will also launch a digital and financial inclusion project to coincide with the national Census with information on the Census, Citizen Coin, Internet Safety and how to save and borrow with the Credit Union in activity packs going to 10,000 vulnerable families.
