Building Support for Protecting Human Rights
December 6 @ 9:30 am - 12:00 pmfree
About this event
Join this workshop to hear about the latest news around the threats and opportunities around human rights in Scotland and the UK.
Most importantly, come along to bring your voice and expertise to this interactive workshop.
We’ll ask you about:
- What do we need to do to build active support and understanding of human rights in Scotland?
- How do we cement support for the Human Rights Act, and get even more support to put all our rights in law?
- How do we put a stop to any going backwards on human rights law at a UK level?
You know your organisation, your community and your networks best – what do they think about human rights? How can we build support for human rights amongst those that you know best?
We are looking for as wide and diverse a range of participants as possible – even if human rights isn’t usually ‘your thing’ please come along! (And then you can tell us why 😊 )
We will do our level best to make sure that this workshop will be as interesting, useful, maybe a bit angry, and even as fun as possible!
There has never been a more important time to protect and realise human rights for all – please come and be part of this vital plan of action.
We want our events to be accessible to everyone. Please email Rebecca@hrcscotland.org as soon as possible if you have any additional accessibility requirements.
