DESCRIPTION

Social isolation is a major predictor of poor mental health. Research shows that D/deaf people often have social and emotional difficulties which can stem from feelings of exclusion, isolation and frustration experienced in everyday life. This session aimed at parents of D/deaf children and young people will cover how to spot the signs of poor mental health, what support is available and how to reduce the risks.
