‘Disabled People and Food Insecurity’ Talk and Q&A with Helen Jones

April 21 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

free

Helen Jones is the chair of York Disability Rights Forum (https://ydrf.org.uk) and a well-known national advocate for the rights of disabled people. All Should Eat has invited Helen to speak about the statistics and likelihood that disabled people will live in poverty, the accessibility of physical food banks and of the food that is often supplied. We stand with Helen in supporting the rights of disabled people and, amid the cost-of-living crisis, want to acknowledge the varying needs of the community and help to ensure that these needs are being met. There will be an opportunity for questions at the end of the event. This event will be open to all and tickets are free of charge, however there will be the option to donate to York Disability Rights Forum at the end of the event. Please email allshouldeat@yusu.org if you have any access needs.
