Diversity and inclusion in the age of Covid-19

February 24, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

The pandemic has thrown our world into crisis mode – the most pertinent issues of our time have either been exacerbated by the effects of the virus, or sidelined.

Now alluded to vaguely as ‘the events of Summer 2020’, the Black Lives Matter Movement is seen as a major turn in public understanding of inequities in our society. But what has the tangible impact of these events been on Diversity and Inclusion efforts?

The workforce has been turned upside-down; there have been mass redundancies, the introduction of ‘Furlough’ into everyday vernacular, and a UK-wide shift to working from home. Flexi working has been embraced with the advent of home-schooling and caring for family members, yet mental health concerns are at an all-time high.

Cynthia will interrogate these highs and lows and the impact this has had on our workforce now and into the future, post-Covid world.
