Does York need a Disability Human Rights Forum flyer

Sat 30 Nov | 11.00-12.30 (light refreshments from 10.45)

ABOUT

York Independent Living Network have asked York Human Rights City Network to explore local interest in establishing a York Disability Human Rights Forum, led by and for disabled people and their families and allies. This meeting will kickstart that exploration, with a speaker from an existing Forum.

The aim of such Forums is to bring together individuals and organisations with an interest in issues relating to disability (including chronic health) for shared discussions and actions. Similar forums elsewhere have found that this strengthens the voice of disabled people and promotes positive change. So come along and have your say, or contact us to get involved.

ACCESS

Wheelchair access. Accessible toilets. Hearing loop. Contact us for any other needs. Parking available in school playground opposite.
