About this event

Canon Ambassador, Elisa Iannacone, is a cinematographer, photographer, author and advocate for equality and human rights. She has worked on six continents producing work for clients including, National Geographic, Newsweek, Vice and the BBC. Covering the Rabaa massacre in Cairo and domestic violence in refugee camps in Iraq, her work examines the human condition on the front line of conflict and in the aftermath of trauma. Iannacone discusses her journey from conflict reporter, to finding new ways to tell important stories. She talks about the intimacy and connection that underpins her process, and her work to present experiences and feelings through the camera in a way that can empower survivors of abuse by involving them in the creative process.

Please note: this session will contain graphic imagery of conflict and discussions of sexual violence.
