About this event
A brief introduction to gender and sexuality inclusion for charities, social enterprises and community organisations (service providers and service users).
About this event:
This session will introduce attendees to some of the main issues facing LGBTQ+ people in the workplace today, as well as wider issues that may impact the experiences of LGBTQ+ people when engaging in volunteering, working for, or receiving support from the charity sector. A key aim of this session is to show how all organisations and individuals already have many of the skills and attributes necessary for making meaningful change to the lives of LGBTQ+ people, once the desire to make this change has been identified.
In this workshop we will cover:
- Workplace discrimination
- Reflecting on current practice
- Legal & social responsibilities
- Supporting gender and sexuality inclusion through:
- Greater awareness
- Workplace policies
- Culture change
