Our First ‘Great Debate‘
John Watson, Editor of ‘The Switzerland Alternative’ website will be speaking in support of the motion, ‘This House believes that His Majesty’s Government should legalise assisted dying, with appropriate safeguards’, and Bill Hulme, Medical Director of St Leonards Hospice will be putting the opposing arguments. The event will be chaired by Lord Mayor-elect of York, Councillor Chris Cullwick.
Doors will open at 18:30 and the debate will start at 19:00. Tickets will be priced at £6 (£5 concessions). Further details of how to get tickets will be mailed out nearer the time, but please hold the date in your diary and tell your friends as we can accommodate more people than at our regular meeting place.
