History of a Deaf Community

Dr Mary Beth Kitzel, Rochester Institute of Technology, will give a short talk on the development of a deaf community in Rochester. One of the largest deaf communities in the US. Mary Beth will discuss what it was like for those early deaf citizens what forces supported the development of the community.

A BSL interpreter will be present.

This will be followed by a networking event. Refreshments provided.
