Launch of the All About Respect Bystander Intervention training
July 12, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
freeThe All About Respect bystander programme aims to empower individuals to be part of the solution in stopping and preventing sexual violence.
About this event
Background
Evidence suggests that sexual violence, harassment, and hate crime are frequent experiences across society. We have developed a bystander training programme which aims to provide education and raise awareness of various problematic behaviours and highlights the power of the bystander. We want to empower people to be an active part of the solution in stopping and preventing sexual violence, harassment, and hate crime in your community.
We’re excited to announce the launch of our online Bystander Intervention Training at this event.
The event will include several brief presentations and interactive discussions focusing on:
- Introduction to bystander intervention
- Why is bystander intervention important?
- An overview of the training
- Impact of the training
In the session we’ll highlight how people can freely access the training material and accompanying resources to use and adapt for their own and their organisation’s needs.
Delegates and Location
The event will take place in the Starbucks Coffee Lounge on the first floor of the Students Union building at York St John University, and is open to anyone with an interest in tackling sexual violence, harassment, and hate crime.
