CURB Seminar Series
Les Back will read some excerpts from his forthcoming book with Shamser Sinha and talk about the issues raised by writing it. Migrant City is the story of contemporary London from the perspective of 30 adult migrants who come from a wide variety of social backgrounds and includes their take on Brexit and the so-called ‘migrant crisis’. The book is based on research with the participants spanning a decade in some cases. It is also an experiment in collaborative ethnography or what the authors call a more ‘sociable sociology’.

The majority of lectures are held on the University campus. There is a regular bus service and the campus is easily accessible by bicycle.
