Money for Free: with Guy Standing!

Organised by Connor Drake, a first year student in the Social Policy and Social Work University of York department and the chair of the University Green Party and the Green Party:
“On the 3rd of May, the Greens and I (Connor), are showing the documentary ‘Money For Free,’ which is about providing a basic income to all. The idea of a basic income is something that is picking up real momentum in social policy, political and environmental spheres, and so I think its important that we bring this discussion to the university.
Professor Guy Standing from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), who is also the founder and co-chair of the Basic Income Earth Network (with Dr Louise Haagh from the Politics Department) is coming to talk about basic income after the film showing.”
