Reflections on Human Rights – Original films by York’s young people
November 18, 2018 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm
As part of the celebrations for the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, we are developing a series of workshops for young people, where we will ask them to record their reflections on what they learnabout human rights.
Covering topics from housing in York, to the gender pocket money gap, education rights, and healthcare, the films ask young people to look at human rights and explore social justice.
At this event, we will show a series of short films created by young people, exploring their introduction to human rights as an integral part of their lives. Master of Ceremonies is local performance poet and workshop facilitator, Henry Raby.
For security reasons, admission to this event is only via pre-registration through Eventbrite. Please bring your eTicket in either printed or digital format.
