RESILIENCE – York International Women’s Week

March 1, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

£6

Resilience is what we all need in today’s world. Everything is changing so fast and  every day seems crammed with new choices and challenges, crises and opportunities. Yet life goes on. How do we do it? Our show will include stories, poetry, music, images, interactive scenes and audience discussion. Join in an exploration of resilience on a personal, environmental and global level. As Tigger might say: “How well can we bounce?”

From settler ancestors’ DNA to childhood life experiences in WWII, where does resilience come from and can it be ignited by the example of others?

“This may also be Sue Lister’s last show as director, 20 years is a long track record, as Real People Theatre is opening the door to other women directors. If no-one steps forward on the theme of social issues from women’s points of view, Sue will continue merrily into the future leading workshops….discussion and audience interaction having always been a major part of her productions.”

£6 (£5 concessions) – Tickets available on the door
