SASH evening at The Van Gogh immersive Exhibition

10th of October marks World Homeless Day and we would like to celebrate by saying thank you to all our wonderful staff, hosts, young people and supporters by inviting you to a FREE evening at the Van Gogh exhibition (normally £13 plus £3 VR).

‘Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience’ is a travelling exhibition intended for a wide audience including families and visitors of all ages. It is a beautiful exhibition around Van Gogh that combines his life story with an in-depth immersion into the heart of his art.

The immersive aspect provides an impressive pathway into the painter’s life and his work, while containing a large variety of didactic information.‘

Thanks to cutting edge virtual projection you will become a part of the spectacular, incomparable universe of Vincent Van Gogh. The experience will let you discover the life of the artist in a new way: his time at the convent and in Arles, the secrets from the letters he wrote to his brother and much more. You will participate in a unique sound and light show that will immerse you in the world renowned and familiar images of Vincent Van Gogh. No one will leave untouched. Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience is a 360 degree experience in the universe of one of the greatest geniuses of the last century.

At the end of the exhibition, the VR Experience will take the visitors even deeper into the life of the artist in Arles. You will travel through eight works and their sources of inspiration: Vincent’s room, the meadows, the forest, the village and ending with Starry Night over the Rhone River.

The experience has thrilled visitors in Naples, Italy and Brussels, Belgium. York St Mary’s is the UK premiere opening of this awe inspiring attraction.

This evening we are able to offer free entry including the VR experience to our supporters. The usually entry price is £13 per adult and £3 extra for VR.

We are grateful to the exhibition for choosing to support SASH throughout their time in York and we will receive 75p from every visitor to the VR experience, expected to be in the thousands!
