SPEAKING UP ABOUT MISOGYNY

March 8, 2019 @ 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

Misogyny has been described as the hatred of, contempt for, or prejudice against women – simply because they are women. It shows itself in behaviours including the belittling of women, sexual objectification, sex discrimination, and violence against women. Hear women speakers from North Yorkshire Police (the second Police Force in the country to recognize misogyny as a hate crime), IDAS, and UNISON (your legal rights) – and join us to discuss the issues we face, and how they could be better addressed.

FREE but need to book tickets in advance – https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/speaking-up-about-misogyny-tickets-54826481482

Step-free access and accessible toilets.  Hearing loop. Limited free disabled parking.
