The Great York Walk

£25The Great York Walk 2019 will be the first fundraising event launched by the University of York in support of the ‘Mentally Fit York’ fund, aiming to change the future of mental health for everyone. The Walk will take place on Saturday 12 October, stretching across the historic open strays of York and taking in some of the best countryside the city has to offer.
There are two routes available, you can walk the whole route which is 25miles/40km or you can walk the first section of the route which is 6.2miles/10km. There is a fundraising target of either £250 or £150 depending on which route you choose.
The Great York Walk starts at the University, crossing Monk Stray, Bootham Stray, Clifton Ings, Hob Moor, Knavesmire, Fulford Ings and Walmgate Stray before heading back to the University for a big finish!
