THE SILENT CHILD

November 17, 2018 @ 4:30 pm - 5:00 pm

This year we celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Our second film, The Silent Child, is inspired by real life events and observes one of the loneliest disabilities and the avoidable struggles that deaf children face.  Set in rural England, The Silent Child film centres around a profoundly deaf four-year-old girl of a middle-class family. She lives in a world of silence until a caring social worker teaches her the gift of communication.

The film won many awards, including the 2017 Oscar for Best Live Action Short Film.
