Welcome to one of the largest West Yorkshire Policing Careers event, being held in your local community, for you.
West Yorkshire Police are keen to represent the communities we serve. As an organisation our aim is to increase recruitment from underrepresented groups within our communities, attracting a diverse and talented workforce.
The Positive Action Recruitment Team are hosting a careers information event to create awareness about the great variety of roles within the policing organisation ranging from police officers to police staff.
During the event, we will have short presentations/talks from various departments within West Yorkshire Police providing you with an insight in to their specific roles and upcoming vacancy opportunities. There will be numerous stalls where you will have access to further information regarding job opportunities, staff networks, support groups and get to see some of the equipment used by certain departments to perform their roles!
The event timings are: 12:00pm – 7:30pm however you are able to drop in to attend certain presentations or speak with specific departments within these hours.
You are welcome to bring family and friends, however please select the number of tickets required. There will be small activities for children to partake in.
• Contact Centre (Call Centre) • Regional Scientific Support Services (Forensic Department) • Protective Services (Counter Terrorism Unit) • Operational Services (Operational Support Teams, Firearms, Traffic, Dogs and Mounted) • Human Resources and Positive Action Team • Safeguarding Unit (Adult and Child Safeguarding & Domestic Abuse Team) • Police Volunteers and Support Roles (Special Constables, Police Cadets, Police Support Volunteers)
There will be further departments available with stalls on the day for further information.
