What Disabled People Can Achieve When We Build a Movement

November 15, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

The Disabled People’s Movement has a long and proud history of fighting for our rights, and resisting cuts and measures that place barriers in front of us. This session will look at historical victories of the movement, from the establishing of the social model of disability, to the passing of the Disability Discrimination Act, to current day struggles around the government’s austerity agenda.

Run by Rachel O’Brien NUS Disabled student officer
