What is the way for Self Advocacy?
April 25 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
freeYork People First are holding an event about the future of self advocacy in York, North Yorkshire, East Riding and North/East Lincolnshire.
This event is run by, and for, people with learning difficulties/disabilities, who are autistic or neurodiverse.
We want to talk about how self advocacy helps people be independent, stay well and have good lives? And, what we need to do to support self advocacy in the future?
The event will include personal stories and histories of self advocacy, performances and games and plenty of time to talk about what we want for the future.
So if you have got something to say about self advocacy or just want to find out more about it come along.
There will be food, drink and lots of ‘speaking up’ chat.
The event will be at York CVS, 15 Priory Street, York, YO1 6ET.
To book a place, reply to this email (speakingup@yorkpeoplefirst.co.uk) or contact Stephen, on 07951 050153.
