York International Women’s Week 3-11th March: Deadline for Call for Events 14th January
January 10, 2018 @ 12:00 am
York International Women’s Week
‘Making Women’s Voices Heard’
3rd – 11th March 2018
We are a group who have come together to promote local events that will celebrate International Women’s Day, 8th March, in the year of the 100th anniversary of when some women got the vote in the UK.
This year’s celebrations will be mainly of grassroots events with a clear focus on ‘making women’s voices heard’ both here and overseas. We will promote them through a published brochure, twitter (twitter handle @yorkwomen) and, hopefully, a website (still to be finalised). When planning your event, please also check our facebook group(https://www.facebook.com
/groups/YorkIWWF/about/ or search for YIWW) to try and avoid clashes and maximise attendances. The core focus will be on events during 3rd– 11th March but we will also include events either side of those dates.
There’s not much time to organise this so please keep to the deadlines below. It is also crucial that you stick to the instructions for entries. Please note that we will not be able to take late entries or later amendments. However you are welcome to submit a skeleton outline for your event if that is all you currently have and then add further detail later to the YIWW facebook group as well as through your own advertising channels.
Deadline for submitting entries: SUNDAY 14TH JANUARY
Entries must be on the form provided here: https://goo.gl/forms/mQgFjxdAJ
