Zoom Workshop: Learning about Black History with Joe Williams, Leeds born Arts and Heritage activist

Free event hosted by Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust.

Joe’s session builds on his approach to Black British history by exploring ancient history and local, York, narratives from Roman times to the present. Always mindful of relevance to today’s legacies, Joe’s insightful sessions offer opportunities for questions and discussion.

 

Joe Williams, MA. Is the founder and director of the Leeds Black History Walk (2009) and Heritage Corner (2014); sharing ancient African history and the African presence in Yorkshire’s heritage.
