Peg-it in the Groves

Join us for a fantastic peg-it session in The Groves, we'll be completing a series of mini workouts and running between different locations. This is a sociable and fun fitness session, if you can run for ten minutes without stopping, you'll definitely be fit enough! If you can run much further/faster, you have the option of taking on extra challenges to push yourself too - there is something for everybody. The meet point for the start of the session is on Haxby Road, opposite the end of Neville Street, right outside the park boundary. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Participants must be aged 16 or over What's the refund policy? We are unable to give refunds for this event but we are happy to transfer your ticket to someone else so long as you send us their details at least 24 hours before the session start time. What should I bring/wear? We're running around exercising outdoors. We don't run anywhere purposefully muddy but it's possible that you will get muddy, so wear trainers and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and sweaty! We recommend that you carry water.

FRIDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER IS THE WORLD’S BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING. It’s Macmillan's biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer. They ask people all over the UK to host their own Coffee Mornings and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. In honour all of our inspirational customers that have survived or are currently fighting cancer, we will be hosting a full day of events at the Trafalgar Bay on Nunnery Lane in York. Our first event of the day is Coffee, Cake & Colouring. Our Cupcake Wars competition entries will be on sale (including Gluten Free) from 12 noon with every penny going to Macmillan. Have a coffee, colour & chat while you enjoy your purchase. Help us to decorate the pub with Colour Me In Bunting & Cheeky Cherry cupcakes. Take a Cheeky Cherry Photo to be in with a chance of winning a Prize. Children welcome. Our fourth event is Card Bingo & Cocktails. Card Bingo is a fun variation of Bingo that's simple enough for all ages including children. Due to our strict no swearing policy, we are family friendly. The more the merrier! Enjoy a coffee or one of our many Mocktails, Cocktails or Cockt-Ales while you play. How about an Espresso Martini or Liqueur Coffee? This is a pay as you feel event with prizes for the winner of each round. “From the Mountains to the Sea” An evening of opera and song in aid of Action around Bethlehem Children with Disability. Come and enjoy an evening of fantastic music with the exceptional Louise McPhee (Soprano), Camille Mallawy (Mezzo Soprano), Neil Griffiths (Tenor), Roderick McPhee (Baritone) and David Hammond (Piano).
