York People First's Learning Disability Parliament is on October 2nd. The topic will be about Employment and Training issues for people with learning difficulties.  There will be some short presentations from Ramsay Taylor of United Response and Stuart Evans from the Job Centre about local experiences, support and opportunities. After this we will encourage people to talk about their experiences of work and training, and ask the question 'what does good support look like?' The event is being organised for people with learning difficulties in York, their families and professionals allied to them.  The information collected will then be fed into the learning disability forum and strategy.
