ABOUT The Eleanor Worthington Prize is awarded to students of Art Schools at University level by the Associazione Premio Eleanor Worthington, based in Urbino, Italy, to celebrate the IDPD for work in the visual arts on the theme of disability. The work on display was submitted for the 2018 Prize by British and Italian students. The theme was ‘Disability Pride, Independent Living’. A training session on the different aspects of Chemsex, its effects on those who participate in it and how to support them manage the risks About this Event This session will look at: the different drugs most often used in chemsex, why they are used and the impact they may have on a person while on the drug. We will discuss some of the language used in chemsex among gay/bi men. There will be a focus on HIV prevention within chemsex scenes and how to work effectively and positively with people engaging in chemsex, with an up to date discussion on HIV acquisition and prevention, specifically in relation to chemsex. This session comes from a sex-positive perspective and will discuss the history and importance of chemsex to gay/bi men, as well as looking at the wider issues chemsex may involve- mental health, drug dependency or internalised homophobia.
