December 14 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
St Nick’s Environment Centre, Rawdon Avenue
York,
+ Google Map
Free

Join us as we thin out and diversify our scrub habitat by removing some of the bramble and transplanting other scrub species such as rose and hawthorn, improving this habitat for the likes of low nesting birds and small mammals who make use of the cover, shelter and foraging opportunities that scrub provides. Be part of this exciting improvement process by volunteering your time and energy on the day or by joining our regular volunteers. Tools and gloves will be provided. A lunch will be provided from 1-2pm for anyone who would like to stay for it after the session. Who is the event suitable for? Anyone who’d like to have a go at volunteering, meeting new people and enjoying the outdoors while doing something useful as part of One Planet Living. Families and younger people are welcome – there will be a range of tasks for all ages. Please note that under 18s need parental consent and under 13s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Free entry
