These co-operatives improve the status of all women by showing that women farmers can successfully run a business and market their produce. You are invited to celebrate International Women’s Day with Joseph Rowntree Foundatio0n (JRF) and Joseph Rowntree Housing Trust (JRHT) staff and residents by coming along to watch the film Lady Bird (certificate 15) at The Folk Hall.  Please bring your friends along too.  This is a comedy-drama based on a high schooler in Sacramento undergoing the trials of love, family and self-discovery as she dreams of escaping to college on the East Coast.  This event is supporting Kyra who are a charity in York that exists to help local women make positive change in their lives.  We ask if attendees can contribute a £2 charitable donation as an entrance fee towards Kyra and their important cause. Doors open at 6:30pm, film starts promptly at 7pm.
